Car Insurance BMW (Car Insurance). In which position vertical or raised an outboard motor must be transported in the trailer in a safe way?

In which position vertical or raised an outboard motor must be transported in the trailer in a safe way?

The best and safest is in the full raised position, "Trailer" position on the tilt switch. This way you have plenty of ground clearance between the engine's Skeg and the ground. As an additional support, add a transom bracket when towing so the stress is removed from the Engine Tilt Unit. it all depends on how your trailer is made, and if the motor is high enough not to hit on the ground when you pull it out of the water I would think a minimum of 10 inches should be fine just look how it sits on the trailer now, if its low change the position.some trailers have a square piece to protect the motor By far the best way to transport an outboard is locked onto a transom saver. This raises the motor so you do not hit the skeg, and takes the weight off the transom and transfers it to the trailer. Trailer your boat with the outboard tilted down (vertical operating position). Shift the outboard to forward gear. This prevents the propeller from spinning freely in the wind. If you do not have power trim on your outboard, shift the out board into reverse. This will activate the reverse lock feature, which will prevent the outboard from bouncing. If additional ground clearance is required, the outboard should be tilted up using an accessory outboard support device (transom saver). Additional clearance may be required for railroad crossings, driveways and trailer bouncing. Do not rely on the power trim/tilt system or tilt support lever to maintain proper ground clearance for trailering. The outboard tilt support lever is not intended to support the outboard for trailering. It depends of clearances,if you tilt then its length, if you leave upright then its clearance from the ground. Vertical? On my boat and trailer it'll hit the ground, so I have to go with raised. My little boat's skeg will hit the ground in the vertical position sitting on the trailer. I use a support brace on the motor when I tow the boat. I always raise the motor. The condition of the roads in this country are very bad. Pot holes will destroy a engine. Why take the chance? depends on numerous factors. the key ones are how high up from the road the outboard is mounted, and how long the outboard is.

BMW . New to stick shift driving, couple questions?

New to stick shift driving, couple questions? Ive been watching my friend do it for a while and now been practicing myself for a couple days. people tell me when youre shifting from one gear to another that you have to ease up on the clutch as you ease down onto the gas equally, but i noticed that when i go from neutral into firsst if i want i can just let up on the clutch real slow and the car will start moving on its own without me giving gas. and i can give it gas after im off the clutch, is this true for other gears? say if im in first and im going 15 if i want can i shift into second and let go of the clutch and THEN start giving gas, instead of easing up on the clutch and giving gas simultaneously? is this possible when going in reverse? also my friend eases off the clutch depending on how fast he pushes down on the gas, and he almost stalls like all the time, somehow i got the idea in my head that how quickly you let off the clutch should be based on how many rpm's youre going, is this true? if thats the case, when i want to do a quick start should i give gas and up the rpm's before i start to let go of the clutch? i know these questions must sound weird but ive only been doin this like a day and cant wait to get back at it tomorrow. Any advice plz car insurance.

BMW . How to Remove the Rear Wiper From a Honda Insight

The rear wiper on your Honda Insight is attached to the rear wiper arm with nothing more than friction. The rear wiper should be checked every six months and replaced if it shows any signs of damage. Any cracking or peeling of the blade is grounds for replacement. Replacement wipers for your insight can be purchased from most auto parts stores or directly from Honda.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
New wiper

Step by Step :
1
Lift the rear wiper arm off the rear hatch window of the Insight until the arm locks into a near-vertical position.
2
Swing the wiper blade assembly out and away from the wiper arm until the wiper sits perpendicular to the wiper arm.
3
Pull the wiper blade assembly away from the wiper arm to separate it from the arm.

BMW . How to Remove the Rear Drum From a Nissan Altima

Your Nissan Altima is equipped with rear drum brakes that need service requiring the removal of the brake drum. the procedure is moderately easy and will take about an hour to finish.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Lug wrench
Hydraulic jack
Jack stand
1/2 inch drive ratchet
Wheel lock
Brake spoon

Step by Step :
1
Use lug wrench, 1/2 inch drive and wheel lock to loosen all lug nuts.
2
Place the hydraulic jack in the rear center jacking point for your vehicle. Close the valve by turning clockwise and raise the vehicle and the rear tires off the ground.
3
Place jack stands under both sides of the rear of the vehicle at the suspension points. Raise the jack higher if necessary to accommodate the jack stands.
4
Remove the lug nuts from the rear wheel and put them in the hubcap so they don't get lost.
5
Locate the slot in the back of the brake drum where the adjustment gear is located. This is usually covered by a rubber stopper that is removed by hand. Set it aside so it can be replaced later.
6
Engage the adjustment gear with your brake spoon and turn counter-clockwise until the drum is loose and can be pulled free of the brake shoes. If removing both drums use the same process for both sides.
Tips & Warnings
As with any hand tools, improper use can cause injury. Use tools properly.

Make sure all jacking points are secure to prevent serious injury.

7. Replace the pump, bolts, hoses, fan, and fan belt, and then fill the system with a 50/50 mixture of water and coolant. If the liquid you drained from the system was clean, and you changed the coolant less than a year ago, you can reuse it. If not, save yourself money and labor by flushing the system at the same time, following the instructions earlier in this chapter. 8. Replace the radiator cap and bleed the air out of the system, if necessary. Your owner's manual should tell you whether bleeding a system is necessary, and how to do so. 9. Run the engine while you check for leaks. . Chapter 14: Keeping Your Car from Getting Heartburn 2 t Q Pressure-testing the cooling system If you can't locate the source of a leak and your vehicle is losing liquid from the cooling system on a regular basis, drive to your service station and ask the attendants to test the pressure in your cooling system. They'll probably use a cooling system pressure tester to do so. The tool is inexpensive, and the test involves very little time or labor, so a friendly technician may do the test for nothing. While you're at it, have the technician pressure-test the radiator pressure cap as well. If you have an old vehicle that hasn't had its cooling system serviced or rebuilt in a long time, pressure-testing the system may dislodge the deposits 716 Car Insurance 1998 hyundai tiburon fxcoupe2d 416259

that are sealing the weak spots, causing the system to leak. Ask the techni cian whether testing the system is worth the risk. Adjusting and Replacing Accessory Belts Chapter 3 tells you how to check accessory belts. Whether or not you can adjust or replace a belt yourself depends on the type of belt(s) you have. Serpentine multi-accessory belts On most modern vehicles, a single, long, flat belt called a serpentine multi-accessory drive belt (see Figure 14-10) drives all the engine accessories. This belt winds its way around every accessory pulley, and on the way winds tightly around a "tensioner" pulley that keeps the belt to the correct tension. In cases where it is possible to adjust the tensioner, you usually find something that indicates the correct tension. Figure 14-10: Serpentine multi-accessory drive belt. Part "l: Kee Pin9 Your Car m Good Condition, System by System Figuring out whether a belt is at the right tension isn't easy just by looking at it, but if the belt is loose, you'll hear squeaky noises when you accelerate sharply. (With the hood up and the emergency brake on, have a friend accelerate the engine while you listen. Be sure to keep your hair and clothing away from the belt.) If the belt squeaks, have a professional replace both the belt and the tensioner because, in many cases, radiators and air conditioning condensers may have to be removed to allow access to the belt, and it may be difficult to remove it and insert a new one.

Other accessory belts If you find that you need to adjust or tighten an accessory belt that drives only one component, follow the instructions in this section. Adjusting accessory belts 1. Determine which belt is loose and what component (alternator, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump, or idler pulley) must be loosened to tighten the tension on that belt. 2. Loosen the nuts or bolts that secure the part that the loose belt goes around.

These are called either pivot bolts, because they allow the part to pivot back and forth, or securing nuts, because they keep the part in place. (I guess it's a matter of perspective.) Figure 14-11 shows the alternator pivot bolt being loosened. Look for a similar bolt attached to the part driven by the belt you're adjusting. Figure 14-11: Loosening the alternator pivot bolt. 3.
